FNJ CRITICIZED GOVERNMENT

 OCTOBER 26, 2008  President of Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ), Dharmendra Jha on October 25, Saturday accused the government of using media persons as messengers while inviting the underground Tarai outfits for talks recently. “The government is using journalists as messengers by calling them liaison source”, Jha said in an interaction at Nepalgunj Saturday. 

The government had used local journalists to deliver talks invitation letter to the underground group in Saptari, Siraha and Mahottari districts recently. 

The cabinet meeting that held on Saturday decided to provide Rs. 50, 000 each who mediates holding dialogue with underground Tarai outfits. 

Freedom Forum also deplores the act and decision of the government of involving journalists in the mediation of dialogue with outfits.
