Journalists of Province 5, Shiva Raj Khanal of Radio Deukhuri was misbehaved during the reporting. The incident occurred at Dang on December 23. Dang lies in Province 5 of Nepal.
According to the reporting of FF's representative for Province 5, Sudeep Gautam, the journalist was reporting the livestock smuggling in the area. The locals obstructed the trucks loaded with the oxen. Police were present there to control the locals.
Police misbehaved with the reporter and deleted the pictures he had taken. However, the police claimed that no such incident took place and journalist was not misbehaved.
The security officials need to respect the press freedom and journalists' right to free reporting.
