Journalist Nabaraj Dhanuk associate with STS television was attacked by chair of District Sports Development Committee on July 2 in Kailai, a district lies in province 7 of Nepal.
According to the Freedom Forum representative DR Pant, Chair Deepak Singh verbally misbehaved and attacked to journalist Dhanuk in LN Chowk at 7 pm evening. Chair Singh accused Dhanuk against writing on social media.
Dhanuk sustained injuries in his head and hand. Injured journalist was in under treatment in the Seti Zone Hospital.
Freedom Forum condemns the incident that obstructed on journalist's right to free reporting. It is the sheer violation of press freedom. FF urges the concerned authority to take action against the attacker and respect press freedom.
