Similarly, UCPN (Maoist)'s youth wing, Young Communist League (YCL) cadres misbehaved with Federation of Nepali Journalist (FNJ) council member and former chairperson of its Taplejung Chapter, Kishor Kumar Rai. A group of YCL cadres led by Rajan Poudel and Sagar Neupane abused verbally and pelted stones on councilor Rai.
Journalist Rai was misbehaved at Taplejung headquarters, Fungling on November 20.
Condemning such incident, Freedom Forum urged UCPN (Maoist) and its youth wing not to repeat such action and asked local administration to pay attention to the security of journalists.
