Dhangadhi-Four journalists, including Shiva Raj Yogi of Gorkhapatra Daily and Sudur Hotline, Pushpa Raj Joshi of Samachar Saras were misbehaved by the protestors of transport entrepreneurs in Dhangadi, a far-western district on July 19, Saturday.
The protestors resorted to indecent manners and attempted to beat up journalist duo, Yogi and Joshi when they reached to the spot for the covering of news of the protest staged by Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Kailali against manhandling their labour leader, said victim journalist Yogi.
They verbally abused us rampantly in a public place saying why you journalists did not opt to open the market and the vehicular movement, added Yogi.
Freedom Forum expresses its serious concern on such naked interference on the journalists while discharging own duty and demands immediate investigation into the case and stern actions against the guilty.
