Journalist Rabindra Yadav was misbehaved for an unknown reason on 6th September 2019 in Nawalparasi. The incident occurred in west Nawalparasi which lies in province 5.
Journalist Yadav is associated with Radio Nawalpur.
In a telephonic conversation with FF, journalist Yadav shared that resident of Nawalparasi Pratapur village ward no.6, Badri Yadav along with four other people misbehaved him for an unknown reason.
Also, Yadav claimed that the news he covered earlier about the death of a student due to snakebite & weak management of the school may be the reason behind the misbehavior.
FF condemns the incident as it is the violation of the right to free reporting. If the journalist is misbehaved merely for writing news then it is against the right guaranteed by the constitution of Nepal. Hence, FF urges the concerned authority to take action and ensure a safe environment for reporting.
