Newspaper Distributor Thrashed

Two unidentified persons thrashed Bhola Wagle, a distributor of Republica and Nagarik dailies, near Nilopul Bridge at Sukedhara area in Kathmandu on May 25.

Two masked persons had asked Wagle whether he was a distributor of the newspapers before attacking him. They gave him punches in his face, snatched a bundle of newspapers and threw them into nearby Dhobikhola River.

Freedom Forum condemns the incident which curbs the free distribution of newspaper and asks the administration to investigate the incident and bring the guilty into the book
